Pricing Recurring Window Cleaning: Quarterly, Twice a Year and Monthly Visits
Recurring window cleaning is not one product. A storefront cleaned every two weeks, a home cleaned quarterly and a home cleaned twice a year are three different jobs, even if the glass is the same. Pricing them well means thinking about how dirty the windows get between visits and how easy each customer is to route.
Frequency Changes the Job
In Quoting One-Time Window Cleaning: Spring Cleans and Move-Outs we priced jobs that happen once. Recurring work has a different shape. The more often you clean, the less buildup there is, and the faster each visit goes. That is the main reason many window cleaners price recurring visits differently from one-time jobs.
The examples below use round numbers. Set your own prices based on your costs and your market.
Twice a Year
Twice a year, usually spring and fall, is the most common residential plan. In WindowBossPro it is set as a minimum of 180 days between visits.
Six months is long enough for real buildup, especially on the outside. Each visit is close to a full clean. Many companies price twice-a-year visits near their one-time price, perhaps with a small discount for committing to the plan. The value to the customer is mostly convenience: they never have to remember to call.
Quarterly
Quarterly plans (90 days) suit homeowners who like clean glass all year, homes near the coast or dusty roads, and houses with sprinklers that spot the windows. Visits are lighter than twice-a-year cleans, and the windows rarely get bad enough to slow the crew.
Because each visit is easier, quarterly per-visit prices are often a little lower than twice-a-year ones. The customer pays more per year but less per visit, and you get four visits on the schedule instead of two.
Monthly and Every Two Weeks
Monthly (30 days) and every two weeks (14 days) are mostly for storefronts, restaurants and offices, where fingerprints and street grime show fast. These are usually flat per-visit prices, often outside only. A shop might pay $45 a visit every two weeks for the front glass and door.
Some high-end homes want monthly outside cleaning too. Price those visits low per visit, since there is very little buildup, but check them against your minimum job charge.
Mixed Plans
Many customers do not need every side cleaned at the same frequency. Common mixes:
- Outside quarterly, inside twice a year.
- Outside twice a year, screens once a year.
- Storefront outside every two weeks, inside monthly.
In WindowBossPro, set each as its own recurring service with its own minimum days between visits. Each comes due on its own. When both are due at the same time, the office schedules them together. On the estimate, show each service with its own per-visit price, so the customer understands what each part of the plan costs.
Showing Recurring Prices on the Estimate
Always show the price per visit and the frequency: “Outside windows and screens, every 90 days: $180 per visit.” If you are offering a choice, list the options side by side:
- One-time: $210
- Twice a year: $195 per visit
- Quarterly: $180 per visit
Customers can compare at a glance. Many will pick the middle or the most frequent option once they see the per-visit savings. The approved estimate becomes scheduled services with the chosen plan in place.
How Plans Come Due
Once a plan exists, nobody has to remember it. Each cleaning comes due on the Waiting List, a live map and list of every due cleaning. Pins are colored by status: not due yet, due now and overdue past a 7-day grace. The office assigns due cleanings to a van and day, and routes them with everything else.
The window details stay on the job for every visit, so the crew sees the same “28 windows · 2-story · Outside only · Screens” line each time. Customers get automatic reminders and their choice of alerts the night before, when they are next and when the tech arrives. With a card on file, each visit is charged when the tech taps Complete.
Raising Recurring Prices
Recurring customers are the ones you will eventually need to raise prices on. Because the plan is on file, you can update the price for future visits and give customers notice by text or email. That conversation is covered in Raising Your Window Cleaning Prices Without Losing Good Customers.
Price the Frequency, Not Just the Glass
Recurring pricing works when each frequency reflects how much work each visit really is. Show per-visit prices, offer mixed plans and let WindowBossPro bring each cleaning due on its own. For more on quoting, see the window cleaning estimate software page.
